12:13 a.m. Gavy A. DePina, 26, 555 Montello St., Brockton was charged with assault and battery after a fight in a Montello Street apartment.
1:29 a.m. Police were contacted by an alarm company for a homeowner on Elliot Street that reported gunshots to the front and side of the house. Caller reports finding one shell casing. The call came minutes after police were dispatched to the Elliot Street and N. Montello Street area when four shots were reported fired. A caller reported four shots were fired and saw four males running towards the bridge. Possible suspects were in a white Lexus with a loud muffler.
3:03 a.m. Alan Chin, 40, 32 Foothill Road, Brockton was charged with driving without a license, number plate violation, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop on Highland Street.
4:04 a.m. Brockton Hospital called to report a 36-year-old woman was stabbed at a party on Montello Street about two hours before and is in the emergency room.
12:04 p.m. Jose Orellana, 22, 61 Clifton Ave., Brockton was charged with driving without a license and marked lanes violation after a traffic stop near Belmont Street and Warren Avenue.
12:43 p.m. Patrick M. Kenney, 24, 94 Elsie Road, Brockton was charged with shoplifting after call from Stop and Shop on N. Montello Street reporting a white male putting DVD’s into a bag.
2:29 p.m. A caller reports being robbed near Davis Commons on Carl Avenue by two Cape Verdean males riding bicycles, who got off the bikes and held knives to the man’s chest while demanding his cell phone. Victim reports they fled through “the pits” toward Perkins Avenue.
4:44 p.m. Evan Michael Payne, 26, 12 Dunham St., Brockton was charged with assault and battery after a domestic violence call from Dunham Street.
5:26 p.m. Michael Finn, 37, 7 Monroe St., city/town not available, was charged with cruelty to an animal after a W. Elm Street caller reported Finn put her cat in a dirty trash barrel and secured the lid on it. Finn allegedly texted the caller to say he had put the cat in the barrel.
6:18 p.m. Alexander G. DePina, 28, 15 Thornell St., Brockton was charged with driving with a revoked license, failure to stop or yield and failure to signal after a traffic stop near Spring and Lexington streets.
7:26 p.m. A 14-year-old was charged with felony breaking and entering in the daytime, malicious destruction of property over $250 and resisting arrest after a caller reported some sort of banging noise coming from the Hancock School on Pearl Street.
9:16 p.m. Luis Daniel Garcia, 17, 115 Colonel Bell Dr., Brockton was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and two warrants after a disturbance on Tremont Street and a foot chase by police.
10:45 p.m. Police are looking for a bald, black male who got away with $450 from the cash register and safe of the Cumberland Farms on Pleasant Street. Police report the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black mask and told the clerk he would “blow his brains out” and indicated he had something in the pocket of the sweatshirt that might be a gun. The man got money from the register and the safe and fled the store on foot toward Pearl Street.
