5:44 a.m. B&E in progress at 1280 Main St. Delivery person states glass broke and he can see someone inside the store. Police respond and report taken.
7:13 a.m. Malicious damage to motor vehicle at Canterbruy Arms, 349 North Pearl St. Caller reports 4 tires slashed. Police report taken.
8:42 a.m. B&E in progress at the 500 block of West Chestnut Street. Caller states party just broke into the rear door of the house. White male driving a gray Buick Century is the suspect and are heading west on West Chestnut Street. The caller was home when this happened and BCI notified. Only description is a white male with curly hair. Police report taken.
8:59 a.m. Robbery investigation. Eddie Bennett Collins, 53, of Stoughton was summonsed for unarmed robbery, assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
10:19 a.m. Police respond to Leonard Street for unknown 911 emergency. Caller on Leonard Street found a white male in his house. The resident grabbed the man by his jacket and has the jacket in his possession but the male ran on foot up Jacob heading on to Thatcher Street. Suspect located on Legion Parkway by Brockton officer on detail for Columbia Gas. Thomas Lawrence Hurd, 50, of Brockton was charged with felony B&E to a building in the daytime, larceny over $250, assault and battery, receiving stolen property over $250, 2 counts of destruction of property over $250 and larceny over $250.
10:42 a.m. Disturbance by a drunk at the Family Dollar Store,190 Oak St. Drunk male is out front and drinking Listerine. He is also harassing people and riding the kids out front. Police and ambulance respond and party taken to Good Samaritan without incident.
11:17 a.m. Disturbance by a drunk at the BAT Bus Terminal, 10 Commercial St. Drunk male transported to BHER for possible alcohol poisoning. He consumed at least three-quarters of a large bottle of mouthwash.
12:54 p.m. MV accident with injuries at Mutual Bank, 777 Belmont St. Car vs. car and one person transported to Good Sam/three MV towed from the accident. Police Report taken.
4:24 p.m. Keep the peace call on Vine Street. Rent-a-Center is attempting to pick up a fridge but the female is yelling and swearing at them, slammed the door in their face and some alleged threats. Police respond and female will not let anyone take the fridge. Rent-a-Center advised to get the proper documentation and police would file the proper complaint.
6:47 p.m. Unwanted guest disturbance at the Kingdom Hall,444 Plain St. They are trying to have a religious meeting and female is inside yelling and screaming and filled with the holy ghost and creating a disturbance. Police respond and matter settled.
6:47 p.m. Animal complaint around the 20 block of Minuteman Way. 2 coyotes hanging around the parking lot.
7:20 p.m. Robbery investigation at the Brockton Public Library-East branch, 54 Kingman St. Caller was walking into the library when a black male, heavy set, wearing a dark colored jacket with colored designs all over it, ran up behind her and took her bag of library books. He never said a word, kept his hand in his pocket the entire time, unknown if he had any kind of weapon. He did drop the entire bag of books in the parking lot. Police report taken.
10:29 p.m. 200 Westgate Dr. reports 2 males just allegedly stole multiple mp3 players. They have the vehicle and the license plate of the car. Police investigate and spoke to owner of the car who states son is driving it. Will have son contact police to make arrangements for restitution to the store. Store manager is amenable to this. Police will watch and make sure restitution is paid.
11:08 p.m. Assault and battery in progress at the 120 block of Main Street. Taxi driver being physically attacked by unknown black male, 5’6, 160lbs, mustache, short dark hair and wearing a dark coat and jeans with white sneakers. 2nd call from the taxi driver stating he is in front of 121 Main St. and the attacker ran in the area of Fredrick Douglas Parkway. 3rd caller reports there is a black male, wearing dark clothing with a knife trying to get into Neighborhood Health Center. The male just dropped the knife and jumped the fence heading on Green Street now. Neighborhood Health Center is now calling to say they have a suspect on tape as well as a knife with blood on it left at the property.
11:10 p.m. Disturbance on Ash Street. Johnny R Charles, 35, of Brockton was charged with assault and battery.
