8:37 a.m. A man and woman were arrested after a robbing an elderly woman of her pocketbook at Stop & Shop on Belmont Street after a tip about a previous break-in lead police to a Dennis Avenue residence that connected the pair to the robbery.
Benjamin R. Burnett, 19, Newell Hagan Court, Canton was charged with unarmed robbery of a person 60 or older, larceny from a person, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, retaliation against a witness, felony breaking and entering in the daytime and felony breaking and entering a vehicle or boat in the daytime. Also charged was Bianca McDonald, 20, 122 Water St., Stoughton was charged with unarmed robbery of a person 60 or over, larceny from a person and felony breaking and entering a vehicle or boat in the daytime.
11:57 a.m. A Tilton Avenue caller reported his house has been broken into the second time in a month.
3:01 p.m. Citizens Bank on Belmont Street reports the bank was robbed by a white male, about 6 foot, 2 inches, in late 20s with a a scar on the right side of the face handed a note to a teller, indicating he had a gun but did not show one. The man fled toward Torrey Street in a white vehicle. A woman with reddish hair was in the passenger seat.
4:29 p.m. A Brockton man and woman were arrested and charged with assault and battery after a Bates Road caller reported a fist fight. Arrested were Richard Kelly, 43, 57 Howland St. and Kathleen Sullivan, 40, 15 Bates Road.
10:02 p.m. Alma Charmain Debinion Jr., 38, 44 Glendale Ave. Brockton was charged with violating a restraining order and property damage to intimidate after calls from Maxim Street about a disturbance and the welfare of a child that included Lawrence and Randolph police.
10:58 p.m. Police recovered six .45 caliber shell casings after two callers reported six or seven shots near Ellsworth Street. A black Mercedes was seen leaving the area.
